__________

1) What is Snowplayground?

Snowplayground is a central hub for skiers and snowboarders who ride in snowparks.

The website offers the following content:

  1. Overview of all snowparks, organized by country and regions (Note: In countries with many snowparks, each region has its own page)

  2. Opening status, size, and (if available) social media presence of each snowpark

  3. Indicators of whether the snowpark has a halfpipe and if it's an indoor snowpark.

  4. A list of upcoming events in snowparks, organized by country

2) Where does the snowpark information come from?

We collect information about snowparks through online research to identify which ski resorts currently feature snowparks. This is how we build our country-specific overviews.

Opening Status

Once a snowpark has been identified, we search for ways to track its current opening status online.
If available, we provide a link to the source where users can check the status themselves.

Events

Planned events can be submitted directly by snowparks.
We also research additional upcoming events through websites and social media.

Snowpark Size

The size of each snowpark is estimated based on available photos, videos, descriptions, and personal experience. We use three size categories to provide a simple orientation:

Size S    small, with few features

 Size M    standard size

Size L    very large, with many features

__________

3) How are the snowpark overviews sorted?

In each country, snowparks are grouped by region.

For countries with only a few snowparks, all snowparks are shown on one page. The regions are listed from the one with the most snowparks to the one with the fewest.

For countries with many snowparks, each region has its own subpage.

Inside each region, snowparks with an opening status available are listed first in alphabetical order. Next come, also in alphabetical order, snowparks whose opening status is not available.

__________

4) What do the symbols next to some snow parks mean?

On Snowplayground, some snow parks are marked with symbols. You can find all symbols and their meanings here:

 H  - snowpark with halfpipe

 i  - indoor snowpark

D  - snowpark with dry slope (without snow)
