Snowpark contest
For the 2026/2027 winter season, Snowplayground will sponsor one snowpark contest with a total prize purse of €1,000.
The contest will be independently organized and conducted by the respective snowpark. Full responsibility and liability for the event rests entirely with the organizing snowpark and/or the ski resort in which the snowpark is located. Snowplayground will only provide the prize money and certificates and defines the following framework conditions:
1) APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible to apply, the snowpark must meet the following requirements:
Location
The snowpark must be located within a ski resort in Europe.
Social Media
The snowpark must have its own Instagram account with at least 1,000 followers and must follow the Snowplayground Instagram account (@snowplayground_net).
2) CONTEST DATE
The contest must take place on a weekend day between December 2026 and March 2027. The event may last for a maximum of one day and must be held during the regular opening hours of the respective ski resort.
The exact event date will be determined in consultation with Snowplayground.
3) CONTEST FORMAT
The snowpark shall develop and submit a short contest format suitable for both skiing and snowboarding.
Skiers and snowboarders will compete in separate divisions and will not compete against each other.
To simplify the event, there will be no gender-based divisions.
Example Contest Format (provided by Snowplayground)
Participants ride one line consisting of one medium-sized kicker and two jib features.
From 09:00 to 10:30, all participants may use the contest line during an open practice session. If necessary, the obstacles may be reshaped from 10:30 onwards.
The contest starts at 11:15. Each participant receives two judged runs, with the better run counting toward the final ranking.
The ski competition takes place first, followed by the snowboard competition.
4) JUDGING
Participants shall be judged by an objective jury appointed by the snowpark.
Depending on the discipline currently being judged, the jury must consist of at least two experienced ski riders or two experienced snowboard riders.
The judging criteria should include difficulty, execution, creativity and use and combination of obstacles (where the contest format includes multiple obstacles). As a guideline, up to 10 points may be awarded in each category.
Multiple riders may share the same placing.
Members of the judging panel are not permitted to participate in the contest.
5) PRIZE MONEY & CERTIFICATES
Prize money will be paid in cash by Snowplayground on the day of the contest.
Since skiing and snowboarding are judged separately, the prize money will also be awarded separately.
Ski Division
1st Place: €200
2nd Place: €150
3rd Place: €100
4th Place: €30
5th Place: €20
Snowboard Division
1st Place: €200
2nd Place: €150
3rd Place: €100
4th Place: €30
5th Place: €20
If multiple riders share the same placing, the subsequent placing(s) will be omitted accordingly.
For example, if two riders share 2nd place, 3rd place will not be awarded, and the next rider will receive 4th place. The prize money allocated to the shared placings will be added together, divided equally among the tied riders, and paid out accordingly.
If there are not enough participants to fill all places from 1st to 5th in either the ski or snowboard division, the remaining prize money will be retained by Snowplayground.
If more than five riders occupy places 1–5 due to tied results, the respective prize money for each placing will be divided proportionally among the riders concerned.
In addition to the prize money, Snowplayground will provide every rider finishing 1st to 5th in both the ski and snowboard divisions with an official participation certificate designed by Snowplayground.
6) OBLIGATIONS OF THE SNOWPARK
Participants
Participation in the contest must be free of charge. However, a valid ski pass is still required to access the snowpark.
Contest Name
The official contest name must include the suffix "by snowplayground.net".
Beach Flags
On the day of the event, Snowplayground may place up to two branded beach flags displaying the Snowplayground name and logo within the snowpark. The exact locations of the flags will be agreed upon on-site.
Social Media
The contest must be announced on the organizing snowpark's Instagram account through at least one Instagram post, or one Instagram Reel. The announcement must include the full official contest name, including the suffix "by snowplayground.net", and the Snowplayground logo.
The announcement post or Reel must also be shared as an Instagram Story on at least two separate occasions before the contest.
On the day of the event or during the following days, the organizing snowpark must publish at least one Instagram Reel (minimum length 15 seconds), or one Instagram post containing at least five photos showing images and/or videos from the contest.
If participating riders are identifiable in the published photos or videos, their consent to publication must be obtained at least verbally.
The Instagram account @snowplayground_net must be tagged in all Instagram posts and Instagram Reels related to the contest.
7) APPLICATION
Applications may be submitted in German or English until 15 October 2026 (inclusive) by email to snowplayground@web.de.
Applications must include:

possible event dates or time periods

a written description of the planned contest format

an estimated number of participants (where possible, based on previous contests)
Snowplayground will select one snowpark from all submitted applications.
After the selection has been made, both the selected snowpark and all unsuccessful applicants will be informed of the decision by email.
Any amendments to these framework conditions may only be made in consultation with Snowplayground.

Snowplayground sponsort für die Wintersaison 2026/2027 einen Snowpark-Contest mit einem Preisgeld in Höhe von 1000 Euro.
Der Contest wird vom jeweiligen Snowpark eigenverantwortlich organisiert und durchgeführt. Die Haftung und die Verantwortung für den Contest liegen vollständig bei dem veranstaltenden Snowpark bzw. dem Skigebiet, in welchem sich der Snowpark befindet. Snowplayground stellt ausschließlich das Preisgeld und die Urkunden zur Verfügung und definiert die nachfolgenden Rahmenbedingungen:
1) VORAUSSETZUNGEN FÜR EINE BEWERBUNG
Für die Bewerbung sind durch den Snowpark folgende Voraussetzungen zu erfüllen:
Ort
Der Snowpark muss in einem Skigebiet in Europa liegen.
Social Media
Der Snowpark muss über einen eigenen Instagram-Account mit mindestens 1000 Followerinnen und Followern verfügen und folgt dem Instagram-Account von Snowplayground (@snowplayground_net).
2) ZEITPUNKT DES CONTESTS
Der Contest wird zwischen Dezember 2026 und März 2027 an einem Wochenendtag über die Dauer von maximal einem Tag innerhalb der regulären Öffnungszeiten des zugehörigen Skigebietes stattfinden.
Die Festlegung eines konkreten Termins erfolgt in Abstimmung mit Snowplayground.
3) CONTEST-FORMAT
Durch den Snowpark wird ein kurzes Contest-Format, das sowohl für Ski als auch Snowboard geeignet ist, erstellt und vorgelegt. Teilnehmende mit Ski und Teilnehmende mit Snowboard werden in zwei separaten Wertungen erfasst und treten nicht gegeneinander an. Es erfolgt im Sinne einer vereinfachten Durchführung keine Geschlechtertrennung bei der Durchführung des Contests.
Beispiel von Snowplayground für ein mögliches, vorzulegendes Contest-Format
Die Teilnehmenden absolvieren eine Line mit einem mittelgroßen Kicker und zwei Jib-Features.
Von 09:00 bis 10:30 Uhr dürfen alle Teilnehmenden die Contest-Line in einem freien Training befahren. Je nach Bedarf werden die Obstalces ab 10:30 Uhr neu geshaped. Ab 11:15 Uhr beginnt der Contest, wobei jeder Teilnehmende zwei Wertungsversuche erhält und der bessere Versuch zählt. Es beginnen die Rider mit Ski, anschließend fahren die Rider mit Snowboard.
4) BEWERTUNG
Die Bewertung der teilnehmenden Rider erfolgt durch eine vom Snowpark bestimmte, objektive Jury, die je nach gerade verwendetem Sportgerät aus jeweils mindestens zwei Ski- bzw. Snowboard-Ridern bestehen muss.
Die Bewertungskriterien sollten Schwierigkeit, Ausführung, Kreativität und Kombination der Obstacles (sofern das vorgelegte Format eine Line mit mehreren Obstcales vorsieht) sein. Als Orientierung können in jeder Kategorie 10 Punkte vergeben werden.
Bei der Bewertung können mehrere Rider denselben Platz belegen.
Mitglieder/-innen der Jury dürfen nicht am Contest teilnehmen.
5) PREISGELD & URKUNDEN
Aufgrund der separaten Durchführung und Bewertung für Ski und Snowboard werden auch die Preisgelder wie folgt separat ausgezahlt:

Platz 1: 200 €
Platz 2: 150 €
Platz 2: 100 €
Platz 4: 30 €
Platz 5: 20 €
Snowboarder/-innen
Platz 1: 200 €
Platz 2: 150 €
Platz 2: 100 €
Platz 4: 30 €
Platz 5: 20 €
Sofern bei der Bewertung mehrere Rider denselben Platz belegen, werden die nachfolgenden Platzierungen unter Auslassung der bereits belegten Plätze fortlaufend vergeben. Das bedeutet zum Beispiel: Teilen sich zwei Rider den 2. Platz, entfällt der 3. Platz und der nächste Rider erhält den 4. Platz. Die Preisgelder der gemeinsam belegten Plätze werden addiert, durch die Anzahl der Rider auf diesem Platz geteilt und - gleichermaßen aufgeteilt - ausgezahlt.
Die Preisgelder werden von Snowplayground am Contest-Tag vor Ort in bar ausgezahlt. Nehmen nicht ausreichend Rider teil, sodass nicht alle Plätze von 1-5 bei Ski oder Snowboard belegt sind, wird der überige Geldbetrag von Snowplayground einbehalten. Belegen mehr als fünf Personen die Plätze 1-5, wird das Preisgeld je Platzierung ebenfalls anteilig auf die Personen aufgeteilt ausgezahlt.
Snowplayground stellt allen Ridern auf Platz 1-5 für Ski- und Snowboard-Wertung ergänzend zum Preisgeld eine durch Snowplayground gestaltete Teilnahmeurkunde aus.
6) VERPFLICHTUNGEN DES SNOWPARKS
Teilnehmende
Die Teilnahme am Contest ist für alle Rider kostenfrei. Ein gültiger Skipass für die Nutzung des Snowparks ist jedoch weiterhin erforderlich.
Benennung des Contests
Der offizielle Name des Contests muss den Zusatz „by snowplayground.net“ enthalten.
Beachflags
Snowplayground darf am Veranstaltungstag maximal zwei sogenannte Beachflags im Snowpark aufstellen, die mit Logo und Namen von Snowplayground bedruckt sind. Die genauen Positionen der Beachflags werden in direkter Absprache vor Ort bestimmt.
Social Media
Der Contest muss auf dem Instagram-Account des veranstaltenden Snowparks in mindestens einem Instagam-Beitrag oder einem Instagram-Reel angekündigt werden. Hierbei muss der vollständige Contest-Name inklusive dem oben genannten Zusatz "by snowplayground.net" und das Logo von Snowplayground zu erkennen sein. Der ankündigende Instagram-Beitrag oder das Instagram-Reel muss an mindestens zwei verschiedenen Zeitpunkten vor dem Contest auch als Instagram-Story veröffentlicht werden.
Am Tag des Events oder an den Folgetagen muss auf dem Instagram-Account des veranstaltenden Snowparks mindestens ein Instagram-Reel (Dauer mindestens 15 Sekunden) oder ein Instagram-Beitrag (mindestens fünf Bilder) mit Bildern und Videos vom Contest veröffentlicht werden. Sofern auf den verwendeten Fotos oder Videos teilnehmende Rider zu erkennen sind, ist deren Einverständnis zur Veröffentlichung zumindest mündlich einzuholen.
In allen Instagram-Beiträgen und Instagram-Reels, die mit dem Contest in Verbindung stehen, muss der Instagram-Account von Snowplayground (@snowplayground_net) verlinkt werden.
7) BEWERBUNG
Bewerbungen sind in deutscher oder englischer Sprache bis einschließlich 15.10.2026 per E-Mail an snowplayground@web.de mit folgendem Inhalt zu senden:

Unter allen Bewerbungen wird ein Snowpark durch Snowplayground ausgewählt. Nach getroffener Auswahl werden sowohl der ausgewählte Snowpark als auch alle nicht ausgewählten Snowparks per E-Mail über die Entscheidung informiert.
Änderungen der dargetellten Rahmenbedingungen werden in Abstimmung mit Snowplayground vorgenommen.
